Drinking wine has always been a bit more popular than storing it, but homeowners are showing a growing interest in keeping the beverage of the vine around a bit longer.
Many homeowners choose cellars with an old European look, resembling that of a castle or cathedral, with groin vaulting (masonry-type vaulting with intersecting arches), stone, stucco and brick. Wrought-iron doors, murals and paintings also are popular accents.
